Wireless Communication Options
There are several excellent wireless technologies that can be used to implement a remote monitoring and control system today. Each has different characteristics, advantages and disadvantages.

Many applications require that only small amounts of data be sent and received. In the North American cellular coverage area, the Aeris MicroBurst system offers an efficient and low cost solution for these 'narrow bandwidth' applications. The MicroBurst system covers over 95% of the population in the United States and requires only seconds to transmit data to or from a remote module. M2M Communications is a certified application developer for the Aeris MicroBurst network.

The 30+ satellites of the Orbcomm network provide coverage throughout the world for remote monitoring and control applications. Low costs and operation anywhere in the world make this a very attractive solution for many products. M2M Communications is an application developer and VAR for the Orbcomm satellite network.

GSM/GPRS and CDMA/1XRTT are digital cellular technologies that can be used to send and receive larger or more frequent volumes of data. These are best suited for applications that reside in populated areas where digital coverage is readily available. M2M Communications is an application developer and VAR for both of these networks.

In each of these cases, M2M Communications can isolate you from the 'technology' and provide Reliable Operation, Minimum Costs, and Simple Installation - Simply provide power and a connection to the device to be monitored, and turn it on. The unit will automatically report to the M2MCOMM web site and to your customer's private page.
M2M Web-to-Wireless Products
The M2M Wireless Communicators are web-to-wireless remote monitoring and communication devices. An internal wireless modem provides two-way communications to the automated M2M operations center and the www.m2mcomm.com web site. These models provide very wide spread coverage throughout North America and the entire world - often with no requirement for a local cellular account.

Operation is very simple

1. Connect the M2M Communicator to the device(s) to be monitored and turn it on. Set up the values to be read from and written to the device.

2. The M2M device will automatically establish two-way communications over the wireless network to the www.m2mcomm.com web site.

3. Log onto your private page on the web site or call the toll-free number from any telephone to:
Check the last reported status of your equipment - switch positions, diagnostic information, tank levels, temperature, pressure, number of pulses received….
Request an up-to-date report from the unit.
Turn connected equipment on or off, or change a setting.
Configure selected events to trigger an immediate user notification by voice phone or e-mail.

Their small size and low cost make the M2000 Communications products suitable for a wide variety of general monitoring applications.
